Last updated: 2026-03-10 Owner: Product Writer Audience: tenant admin, hr_admin, manager, user
Purpose
Explain how first access works in HORIS, how to activate the account and how to manage passwords.
Prerequisites
- you received a valid email invitation
- you use the original link received in the email
First access from an invitation
- Open the email sent by HORIS.
- Click the single main action in the email.
- Set your password when prompted.
- Complete the activation.
- After login, the system takes you to the workspace compatible with the assigned role.
If you already have an account
If the invited email matches an existing account:
- open the received link
- confirm the role or requested access
- log in with the password already active
Forgotten password
- Go to the login page.
- Use the password recovery function.
- Open the email received.
- Set a new password.
Expected result
At the end of the process, the user can enter the workspace without duplicate steps and without accepting the same invitation more than once.
Common errors
- Expired link
- cause: the activation link is past its validity window
- solution: ask the administrator to resend the invitation
- No visible role after login
- cause: the role has not been fully activated or the invite has not been completed
- solution: contact the administrator who assigned the role
- Email not received
- cause: email provider delay or wrong address
- solution: check spam/promotions and then request a resend
Quick troubleshooting
- make sure the email you are using is the same as the one invited
- do not use old saved links
- if the tenant uses dedicated email policies, check with the administrator
