Purpose

Explain how to use My Work as the personal cross-module operational inbox.

What you find here

The view only aggregates signals that deserve operational attention:

  • required actions
  • waiting workflows
  • operational warnings
  • useful observations worth monitoring

It does not replace source modules. It helps you understand where to go next and with which priority.

How to read the page

The inbox is split into 4 groups:

  1. Urgent
  2. Do today
  3. Waiting
  4. Observations

Each card shows:

  • source module
  • operational status
  • priority / SLA when available
  • short description of the open work
  • direct CTA to open the right module

Typical examples

For a user:

  • missing timesheet hours
  • today's attendance or work location not recorded
  • requests, travel claims, or on-call items with changes requested
  • workflows already submitted and still under review
  • professional profile still incomplete

For a manager or reviewer:

  • approval backlog for requests
  • approval backlog for travel claims
  • pending timesheet reviews
  • at-risk SLA items

Expected result

The user can understand in a few seconds:

  • what needs action now
  • what can wait
  • which module should be opened next

Operational notes

  • the inbox uses a canonical urgency ranking
  • if payload is capped, the system only shows the first ranked items
  • the module counters on the side help explain where the open workload is concentrated

FAQ

Does `My Work` replace the Dashboard?

No. The dashboard remains the general landing page. My Work is the personal view focused on operational backlog.

When I open a card, am I working inside the inbox?

No. The card takes you to the correct source module, where the real action is completed.
